Excellent. Lovely band when I was there... Some 20 years now. However the standard of playing has only improved. Great team. Had some really good players and teachers. . Sam Harrison in particular was a brilliant teacher.

Great Band and Public Service Elland Silver are a Championship Brass Band, competing against the legends of the Brass Band World. More than this though, they are committed to developing musicians in the Elland area and providing a first class public service. They start with 8 year olds in their beginners band, providing lessons and instruments for a small monthly membership fee, through to their training band, highly acclaimed Youth Band (with many National titles and one European title over the last decade), and adult beginners band and of course the top level Senior band.
Great standard of youth band and a good community.
Fab band/community organisation! My 2 daughters joined the beginners band 2 years ago and we have not looked back since. They received professional tuition, free instrument loan and experienced their first live concert within weeks! A lovely friendly group!
