Wow, what a fantastic course! There were five students on the course and Gary managed to make sure everyone was learning at their own pace as well as encouraging everyone to push themselves to get the most out of the course. The information, tips, skills and guidance given by both Paula and Gary have already proved invaluable. They are a fantastic team and I hope to see them again on another course.

Fantastic experience! Gary and Paula are a professional photography couple who make a great team and provide excellent training. On my course the other 'students' had a range of experience level from almost beginner to very competent. Gary was able to explain and demonstrate photography across the full range of knowledge levels. I had gaps in my knowledge and came away from the course with some great shots and technical understanding. I also have to say I had fun! Gary had us laughing and is a very genuine guy. Take the plunge and go for it...
What a fantastic course, gave me the confidence to shoot fully manual all the time and would never go back to automatic mode on my camera. I gained some great insight into how to get a host of great wedding shots, the workflow into efficient editing and also steps to improve my business. Can't wait to book onto another course in the near future. Thanks Gary & Paula!
I spent a day with Gary and Paula last week and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Both were lovely company, friendly and made me feel instantly at ease, but most importantly I came away having learnt so much in just one day, and thoroughly excited about developing a new skill and a new hobby. A truly enjoyable experience. Gary and Paula oozed enthusiasm and passion for photography and this was infectious. Gary taught me that good glass is essential. I have 2 full-frame cameras but my lenses were a little inadequate. More expense , but, hey ho. I can thoroughly recommend Shoot Smart. Gary is an excellent photographer and an inspiring tutor.
