Colemere is a truly beautiful, family and buggy/wheelchair friendly environment. Lots of trees to climb and birds to see. No toilet that we are aware of. Wellies required in wetter weather.

Small and pretty. Circular walk. Lovely car Park which is free plus disabled spaces. Ideal for disabled with Walker, suitable Gateways. Mostly Woodland walk with occasional views of the Mere. Sailing club there since 1959.
We come here occasionally to walk our dog around the lake. It's an easy circuit, especially pretty in Autumn, when the leaves help reduce the mudiness underfoot. The northeastern end of the lake has a new boardwalk over the wettest ground. In the open field today, we saw a number of placid cattle (no bulls, of course) so that's another reason for dogs to be on leads here. There are two picnic tables near the car park, making it a handy place for cyclists to stop. Be aware there are no public toilets or eating places nearby. There are a further two picnic tables on the north side of the canal, (see photo) another pretty walk. Look out for herons and the idyllic thatched cottage at the west end of the lake.
Beautiful woodlands, good parking, pretty much flat circular route.
Lovely flat circular walk around the mere. Free car park and large picnic lawn. Highly recommended for a day out with the kids. Nothing to spend money on!! x2 family road cycle routes to follow though care is required with cars about.
