Nice cafe. We visited it in tier 3, so they were empty. Staff we're friendly and chatted, nice cakes and tea though

Myself & my daughter visited at Cheshire Oaks today for lunch. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes before we got in and were seated but this was understandable due to social distancing measures. We decided to order the Classic afternoon tea for two which consisted of a selection of sandwiches, 2 huge, warm scones with jam & clotted cream and a selection of little cakes. This also came with a choice of bottomless tea or coffee, which you could change if you wished. This cost 25 in total and was such good value for money, the samdwiches were so fresh, it was delicious and a lovely treat. The staff were very attentive and so friendly, I honestly couldn't recommend it enough.

The staff in this establishment are BEYOND rude. We were stood outside in the freezing cold weather waiting even though there were 4 tables free which were waiting to be cleared whilst the staff had a chat. When we went inside we were sat for a long while before we had to ASK for someone to serve us. Another half an hour later and we had to ask for our drinks again. This would be understandable if they were busy but there was hardly anyone in the shop, the staff are just lazy beyond belief. After being in the cafe for a good part of our day we asked for the bill. The lady walked off and went and had a chat with someone else right in front of our faces and then proceeded to serve someone else. When I asked what was going on she screamed she was busy (which she clearly wasn't). It's not even worth explaining how utterly disgraceful the manager is. She was shouting and screaming in our faces in front of all the customers and told us to get out. How can members of staff treat customers like this. I have never experienced anything like this and hope that no one else ever does. The behaviour we witnessed was disgusting. Whilst we were sat there the member of staff working on the door shouted at groups of people very loudly and made them leave. I think the staff and management need to take a good look at themselves and realise that they are the issue not their paying customers!

I normally only popped into this chain in other places if I wanted a coffee and cake so was very pleased to see it offering an excellent breakfast menu as well. I'm a fan of Eggs Benedict and so many places can't get it right, floppy bacon, stake muffin, runny or overcooked eggs and out of a jar hollandaise sauce. The one here was one of the best I've had - period. This is a great place for lunch, a snack, a chill mid shop or for a leisurely breakfast before tacking the shops in Cheshire Oaks. The service isn't super fast, especially when it's busy so relax and watch the world go by as you sip your drink and the food will be worth the little wait.
