I attended MSD 1983 through 1987, graduated Valedictorian. I also attended Columbia Campus 1973 to 1978, making 60 of us or so the original class that attended after it opened. I am a long haul trucker. 31 years prior to retiring medically in 2013. (SSdI, I did not know anything about SSI for deafness until 2003 which should illustrate one of the conflicts that did a great deal of economic harm in my day.) Surgeries and medical stuff is what I am working on. I might experiment with SSdI (Depending on SSA's approval) to see if its possible to haul high dollar freight for narcotics, trauma kits and everything (Pharmacy and Medicines) used by many hospitals. If you can wear hearing aids and speak etc there is no reason why Trucking cannot be a prospective future for you. There with technology that has evolved since my time and indeed since Galludet's time is not a excuse to not do what you want in life.
