Enjoyed the sunrise this morning. Nice little spot.

Nice overlook area along scenic GA-52 going from Ellijay towards Chatsworth. This place is free and provides a short hike to a scenic 360 degree overlook. My only complaint about this place is the lack of signage. There was no sign at the entrance and I missed it and had to enter from the exit. Good thing no one else was there as the roadway is one-way.
A Lovely view peaceful and quaint! The wildflowers are spectacular in number and beauty. The slate wall is unique among this setting! Fun day trip!
Little crowded but a beautiful place to (blanket) picnic. Although short, the "hike" up the trail is in need of some rapair so I would recommend a little bit of caution when walking. Definitely a great stop for some awesome photos for sure.
The view was great but the trail up was well beyond just some simple maintenance. A days work would make a massive difference!
So worth the stop and short hike to the top.
8 or so parking places. 50 yd hike to the top. Great 300 degree view of the Cohutta Mountains and wilderness from Chatsworth to Ellijay. Large rock platform at the top. No bathrooms or trash cans here. Maintained by the US Forest Service. 10-15 minute stop.
Probably was a great overlook previously but overgrown now and definitely not somewhere you’d want to walk your family too. View is spectacular but nothing different than any of the maintained overlooks.
