Great deal for wine tastings, totally worth the slight price increase for level 2 (the truffle is delicious). All wines they make on site is spectacular. Beautiful views to boot. Worth a visit!

This place was is really nice! I went by myself (was just coming from hiking) Rebecca at the bar was very nice and very knowledgeable of all the wine. Although I missed the tour, the site of the vineyard was still beautiful! Last but not least, I met two wonderful ladies whom I’m sure we will be friends for life! I will definitely visit this vineyard again!! Also you can BYOS!!! Yesss, you can bring your own snacks!! This place is the best!

This one our best two vineyards for the really great tasting wines. They had a larger variety of wines than most vineyards and we found 4 that were exceptional. This is also one of the few that currently offer meat and cheese trays to enjoy with your wine and the great views. We are going back this weekend. They also had live music which was great! The mountain views were great and just sitting with a glass or bottle of your favorite wine and relaxing is our attraction to this vineyard.

I’ve had my eye set on visiting Engelheim for quite some time now and we were finally able to visit yesterday (the Sunday of Labor Day weekend). We arrived between 2:15-2:30 which apparently is prime time because there was a line to get to the bar where they serve you. While I was a little anxious with the amount of people there, I’m happy to say there are quite a few sitting options available inside and out and the line moved relatively quickly. After about 10 minutes or so, we were able to order a tasting and a cheese plate that was very generous in its servings! The pepper jelly served with the cheese plate is out of this world and we could not get enough. Ok, onto the good stuff - their wine! One consistent issue we run into when visiting North Georgia wineries is the over abundance of sweet wines. I understand Muscadine is a thriving grape for this region, but we are not sweet wine drinkers so at times it can be difficult to enjoy our selections. Well, I’m happy to say Engelheim had multiple selections that were not of a the muscadine variety. The Vidal Blanc was my groups favorite wine. I’m fact, we ended up buying several bottles. The Engel Weiss was probably my second favorite white, while the Pinot was likely my least favorite. I was certain the Cab Sauvignon would be my favorite red but (it ended up having an odd aftertaste to me), the Hummingbird ended up being the winner! I also thoroughly enjoyed the Trillium. If you have similar taste profiles like my wife and I (non-sweet grapes), I highly recommend visiting Engelheim. Also, all of the staff was wearing masks and the bathrooms remained clean for the three and a half hours we were there. One last thing, the views are breathtaking! We were unable to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery because the tables were filled outside. Next time we will get there early so we can take advantage of the vineyard surroundings!
