Ellon's hidden gem. Fresh ingredients, well prepared and presented. The naan bread was to die for! Polite staff, and chef came to meet us before we left. Very impressed with all aspects of our evening. We will be back!
Fantastic place for a curry. One of the best in town for sure! Edit: this review was relevant to the Aberdeen restaurant which deserved 5 stars. I have subsequently used the Ellon one and waited about an hour in the restaurant for take away. This was after calling ahead and being given a collection time (which we arrived at). Food was good but I wouldn't use again based on that and would give it 1 stars for the terrible customer service. We were consistently lied to and told it would be 5 to 10 minutes. And it took over an hour. Awful awful awful
It may look like your average neighborhood restaurants, but Ambals Indian restaurant is different. I wandered in with two friends on last Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of lots of Indian dishes and spices. The restaurant was filling up quickly, but we managed to snag a table. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. Had a great experience.
1st time visiting this place, but we thought it was a good place to go. Over looks Union Street, so plenty to watch out of the window!! Food was really good, they also came with some free samples of different starters, which I thought was a good touch. Will go back again
