Been a member now for about 3 years. Very interesting site, shame some people on looking at reviews are dissapointed. Yes if you browse Web you'll find some bottles cheaper depending on what you are looking at. Ask yourself the question.... What are you looking for firstly. Whisky for investment or whisky to drink and enjoy. Site is used by investors buying and selling. Also for people to buy to drink. You've got to look at it like this..... It is an auction site and bottles are only going to sell for what people are prepared to pay. So your 50 bottle of whisky may end up costing a little more than you anticipate. Before the auction starts do research into what you're wanting to purchase. Have an idea of what you want to spend remember the auctioneers % the insurance and delivery charges. Enjoy the experience on whatever market you are looking at and if the fun stops.... Stop. The auctions are there for all markets from lower end to high end..... If you're investing don't expect to make a fortune overnight unless you hit lucky. I treat it like a bit of fun.... I've bought whisky on here from 60 to 200... Other sites I've spent at most 600... It depends on what you want. I'm not going to compete with the serious investors. I treat it as a bit of fun and whisky hammer gives you alot of information about all ends.... Don't have a go because you paid more than you anticipated. It is after all an auction you must have pressed the bid button??? I am pleased to be a member and enjoy the experience.... Keep to your budget see what you are looking at do your research. Your winning bid is easy to pay my last purchase was delivered within 3 days much to the annoyance of my dear wife 5star plus rating for me. Carry on the good work whisky hammer.

Whisky Hammer do not leapfrog your bids higher which is great.If you have a top bid of say85 and another bid comes at 80 then the bid stays with you at 80, and is not auto'd up to 85 which is what all other websites do. This seems to me a fairer system and is unique to Whisky Hammer.Please!please! don't change it. Good storage options too.Friendly when phoning.
