I started seeing Meredith about 9 months ago. She helped me with a treatment plan and has been very helpful and my life is better as a result. I’ve also seen significant improvement in my teen daughter, who has been seeing Leslie for about 7 months. Our relationship has blossomed since we have both been working on ourselves. The DBT parent group (which goes alongside the teen DBT group) was very educational and the group counselor, Lisa, did a great job teaching the skills. Overall, my experience has been life changing and I would highly recommend.

My teen was seeing a therapist at red oak. She seemed to get along great with her and as far as I knew I thought she liked going to see her. For some reason she missed three appointments and they sent me a letter dropping her from the program. It would have been nice to get a phone call, email or letter ahead of discharging her. Instead when I called them was when the receptionist told me she missed three. I asked to speak to her therapist and she was going to leave a message for her to call me. I called several more times and the therapist would not return my call. Lack of communication from the therapist is very unprofessional.

My wife was seeing a counselor at red oaks and that counselor became her friend and that’s not professional. I’ve tried to talk with the manager a couple of times and never got a response.

After my last counselor decided to work in patient care at a hospital she recommended Red Oak. Although the counselor she recommened was not taking any new patients I was able to read about all the different counselor who work at this location on their website and find a counselor that best suited the style of counseling I prefer. However, all the counselors are very welcoming and friendly! They also have a variety of support groups and other resources one might need. Even better, when I lost my insurance they have an intern who only charges you what you can afford. I paid only 10! I've been through many counseling establishments and I've got to say this is one of the best!
