I am probably not the best person to objectively judge this place considering I'm infatuated with it. For someone visiting for the first time probably nothing will stand out. Yet there are so many amenities here - pool is pretty nice, there is a huge gym and ice rink is magical in the winter. Their youth programs are pretty good. Considering they have mentioned amenities (pool, gym, ice rink) they are able to take kids for lots of extra activities.

Customer service here sucks. They gave my son a hard time when he came. Upper management needs to have a customer service in service for the staff. Include the supervisors.

The Elmhurst Y is such a wonderful place, it was actually part of why I chose to live in the area! The range of programs offered, at affordable prices, just cannot be beat! The deeply-rooted focus of the Y is the same, to help bring solid programs to ALL, including those who otherwise could not afford them. I believe this key is a treasure in helping create friendships that can even last a lifetime. There is a great range of ages and talents. So all can feel welcome, and not like they cannot compete. The Y does a good job of offering a variety of ages/ranges for their programs. I love my Y!
