would be a 5 but there's no microwave anywhere on site, and there was no mirror in my room.. outside of that, wonderful stay, clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, close to subway/bus terminal.. excellent dining choices as well

After reading some of these negative reviews I became apprehensive about staying here. Here's the thing: it's essentially a hostel not a hotel. The service is a bit different from a hotel. But I found all the staff (both desk and cleaning) to be friendly and accommodating, especially Michelle at the front desk. My five person dorm is bright, comfortable, clean and has no signs of bedbugs or cockroaches. I was especially worried about that. Bathroom is neat. Of course the great thing about a dorm hostel room are the different people you meet, and I've met some great ones. I booked about three weeks in advance and paid 29 per night... I don't believe that is possible anywhere else in Queens. Overall, the Kamway far exceeded my expectations. Incredible value. Highly recommended. Just understand the differences between a hostel and a hotel. And the price can't be beat.
Stains everywhere, no cleanliness at all. Cold at night, thin walls, noisy neighbors and terrible service. Never again! Apparently not what you paid for, not even close.
On the google map 63 when I called 90 on workday
It serves it's purpose. No bells and whistles. Guy @ the front desk was kind. Room was okay (found a blood stain on one of the covers ). Otherwise, no complaints.
We were looking for a simple place to crash to catch an early flight in la guardia (10 Min away). Our room was clean, and our beds were very comfortable.
Cheap and we'll located for travel to LaGuardia. Pretty clean, too. The door locks are touch pads and you can hear your neighbors coming and going all night. The floors are loud, the stairs are loud, and even though it's a half block to the train tracks, the trains are loud too. WiFi works but low speed in the afternoon. Couldn't get any content on the TV. Also they take credit reservations but require you to accept a refund and pay cash or debit at check in. Pretty fishy but the price didn't change.
Decent place for one night. Clean place to sleep. Not parking though.
