Derek DJ’ed our wedding of 150 people on Saturday 5/4 and did a terrific job. From our very first song the dance floor was filled and it continued to be through the last song. Derek read the crowd well and played a great mix of music. Such a great time for everyone!
We hired Derek through Mike Staff Productions for our wedding reception on July 27 and were extremely pleased with his work! He was very nice, fun, and easy to work with. He asked a lot of questions beforehand about what we like, what we don’t like, and how we want the night to flow. He listened to all of our wishes and helped us out when we didn’t know what we wanted. He kept people on the dance floor all the way to midnight and we got a lot of compliments on the music! He took song requests…even all the silly ones from the bride and groom later in the night. He also did a nice job as MC throughout the night by announcing speeches, special dances, that late night food had been put out, etc. We didn’t have to worry about a thing because he took care of it all.
One of the BEST DJs I have known! I have met and saw Derek DJ-ing at the Public House On Cicero. He is one of he most unforgettable DJs because the dance floor was full the entire night and the people at the bar still talked about how great the DJ and music was! He was responsive to the people who kept actively requesting a song and he would keep the dance party going throughout the night. I would 100% recommend Derek for any DJ event. He is one the best!
