My son has had a great experience here. He gets personal attention, at his level. There’s flexibility all around and way better than the ‘franchise’ experiences where he falls through the cracks. He’s learned so much. Appreciate Sani, he’s not perfect nor his place super organized but who cares! Do men care?! My son doesn’t. He’s there an hour 3xs a week and loves it!!

Great class, great experience. Very interesting new concept, that makes this place remarkable to be!!
DONT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THEM. Unprofessional, disorganize. My son felt very uncomfortable whit the trainer comments and behavior. We signed the contract for 1 year and have to payed even though my son only attent for one month. It is difficult to cancel the contract and to do so I have to pay 335 extra. This school is not register at BBB.
Is the teacher (Sonsoni) legit? Yes. Does that make him a good teacher? No. The place itself looks somewhat disheveled and he himself comes off as generally unorganized and unprofessional. You can learn something from him, sure, but don't expect to be able to build a well refined skill set with his neanderthal teaching style. He is difficult to understand and not very articulate. Thus, he resorts to raising his voice rather than making himself clear. (English is his first language, although he has spent years abroad). If you do go with him, expect him to probe you on your line of work or skills. I notice he has his students doing various things in assisting him with his business and may ask you as well. He has set prices for his classes but will pressure you and make up deals so that you will sign a contract. He will always pressure you to pay in cash as well. Overall, just not a great learning environment. People go to him because he does know his stuff but again, don't expect professionalism. Just not a good vibe there.
Yobe has been a great experience for me. Professor Sosani is a master at his craft and is an all around great teacher. This is my first experience in martial arts, and I can say that I am truly enjoining the journey. I recommend this to anyone, any age that is looking for a good physical workout with the benifit of learning some self defense.
I attend a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in Florida, was up in Chicago for 2 weeks and wanted to roll with new guys . Stopped in and talk to Prof. Soisani and he welcome me to his class and rolled with his higher students . I offered to pay and did, but he knew my instructor said it was not necessary but I did . Great classes and added to my Jiu-jitsu . Everybody was friendly and got to roll with Sonny three times . He is top class if you want to learn Jiu-Jitsu , I can say he is one of the best to learn from
DONT SIGN ANYTHING WITH THEM. I signed the contract because I was assured I had three days to cancel. I called them to cancel 48 hrs later they said ok I need to come to office to finalize at some point. I showed up later that week and spoke to person I signed with and spoke on phone with. He then proceeded to tell me I had to do it in writing within the three days AFTER he told me everything would be ok to cancel on the phone!!!!
My experience at yobe was, to say the least, peculiar. I was very eager to join and at first admittedly very excited to train under sani. After a while I soon realized what I got myself into. I saw some of his former students coming in furiously demanding that he stop charging them after they had cancelled the contract they had made with him. I also noticed at competition he was not present to coach his students but rather on a "spiritual journey" in Peru (so he says). The class itself was unorganized as well. Some days we would learn moves and progress from there, but in the middle of the week we would start something totally different and it would confuse the class. So at the end of a few month of training we would have half learnt moves in our arsenal but none that are fully mastered. Also, I would notice that a lot of time while he was teaching he was under the influence of drugs which, in my opinion, hindered his ability to teach properly. These experiences (and many more) made me become weary of the class and forced me to leave. I would recommend against coming into a contract with him.
