Nice course with good condition even in the fall. Couple of holes had the distance boards at the tees missing. A couple of staff were grumpy and rude as well. Without these, a 5 star would be easy.

Give this place a year or two if Bergen County invests in it and it will be a beautiful course. Right now water doesn't drain well from several holes and most of the rough is just weeds. It's still a fun course and has a pretty layout although only two holes with water.
Nice course. BUT - unkind and unwelcoming staff. They drove around course keeping watch as if we were going to do something wrong. Gave an uneasy feeling while trying to enjoy a round. Rain came on 16th hole, would not even let us cart our bags to our cars and made us walk in the down pour. “Rules are rules” they said. Sarcasm and just bad vibes. No thanks.
Just finished one of the worst golf experiences in recent memory at Soldier Hill. The back 9 was closed for maintenance so my wife and I said we would like to play just 9. We were informed there was no 9 hole rate--we would have to pay for 18 and go around twice which is unfair. A 9 hole rate should have offered under those circumstances. They said they are trying to make up for lost income..... We had a 12 noon tee time but \ the computer\ had scheduled 2 foursomes at the same 1150 tee time ahead of us so we didn't tee off until almost 1230. 245 mins to play 9 and bottled up since there was only 9 holes available and golfers were forced to play the same 9 twice. Poor attitude/bad management!
We couldn't play golf because they double booked teetime by mistake. They allowed the other team make reservation same tee time. Don't even apologize their mistake.
