Living there was okay. They didn't fix some stuff that was wrong with the place. When we moved out we were told we were getting our deposit back, they never paid us. We called them every other month for a year after we moved out to try to get it and still nothing. They claimed the mailed it 3 different times yet we never received it. After graduation college and trying to move we could have used our deposit that was owed to us. We were also not the only ones that did not receive our deposit like we were supposed to.

I moved into my apartment in August of 2019 and haven’t had a bad experience. I originally wanted a one bedroom and ended up getting a two bedroom. Its a great college apartment that allows pets and I have two. For being built in the 60’s, it’s holding up great. My electric bill isn’t crazy high with the changes of Kansas weather in mind. Personally, I’ve had one major issue with the a/c but that was fixed in a decent amount of time. Most of the problems I’ve had have been from the neighboring buildings residents.
New property manager handled things quickly and tried his best to improve my experience. The office staff was very kind and helpful as well.
I found an add for a apartment this company is renting out on Zillow for a 3 bedroom for 550 a month. I called them and was quoted 650. My husband and I went to look at the place and it was not in very good shape but for 650 price was not bad. So we agreed pay 50 for and application fee for the place for 650 an month. A week later we was approved so we went in to see about getting one of the three bedrooms and they said oh the rent for the 3 bedroom is 995 a month. We asked for our money back and they declined to give it back. For 995 this place was trash, carpet was nasty, old appliances, back yard fence rotting on all boards, black ceilings, the ground had holes in it, tile was back from the 60s or later and the outside the place was rotting as well. This place was worth the 550 and month that was advertised not 995 that was upped on the price for us after we was approved. Be careful with these two females in that office they are do not tell the truth and if you decide not to move in they will not give your 50 bucks back after falsely quoting a price on a place you apply for.
My first apartment. Hot in the summer. Cold in the winter. Disorganized manager. Refused to fix the leaking AC which ended up destroying the carpet and some of my belongings. Ok for college but definitely not great. Would not live here again. Bad part of town. Heard gunshots and saw drug deals get busted up by the cops. Sketchy people. Only pro: it's a pet friendly community.
