We popped in for a drink in advance of a meal the following night with our parents. Despite plenty of signs, the locals are totally ignorant of the risks, and refuse to socially distance, wear masks or respect repeated warnings from the two young staff members. No on site management to enforce any rules and we almost called the police. We did not feel safe at any point during our couple of drinks and cancelled our meal. The staff were trying their best and this review in no way reflects the bar staff or the quality of the food, but until the management support their staff and keep all customers safe (yes, employing bouncers might be the only way to keep this place viable), then I would avoid until we have a vaccine.

Always look forward to a meal here on my annual visits home. Great atmosphere, and amazing food. The Playlist is pretty awesome, as well. It's great when the staff remembers me!

At first glance the building looked fine however, on approaching the pub from the surgery carpark, it was obvious there was no intrest in attracting customers. Particularly, the hanging baskets outside which should have been taken down weeks ago, all flowers dead making the place look very unattractive. On entering the pub through the first available door, we were told in no uncertain terms that we should have used another door, despite there being no signage to that effect. We had intended stopping for a few drinks but had just the one. We won't be returning

Have been here a couple of times now and always been impressed with the staff, who are very friendly, and with the food, which has always been very good. Family friendly pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere. I recently had the fried fish platter which was amazing will definitely be back!
