A very disappointing evening. The atmosphere, decor, live music and general concept are great but the dining experience needs a lot of work. The service is very poor and the staff have clearly not been trained but are all very friendly and pleasant. Drinks were very slow and had to ask for water several times. Food is very average & definitely over priced. When asked if we could order dessert & coffee, we were told it was too late and the chefs had gone home!!! Would have been nice to have been asked. It was very obvious that at 11pm they are keen to "shut up shop" and more interested in sharing out their tips rather than look after their clientele. Won't be returning or recommending to friends

The good things first. Was open on Sunday, Great wine menu, the renovation of this old building was Superb. We are used to eating fine dining food, so knew what to expect. However, the service was amateur, wrong drinks, asking twice if they had taken our order, wandering around with trays of beer wondering who ordered them. The restaurant had just opened so we kind of anticipated this. Now to the food. Tiny portions, watery sauces, we were still hungry when we left. No bread offered and no side dishes. Average food, way overpriced.
We went for breakfast on two different, quiet, weekday mornings. On both occasions the food was lovely, tasty with substantial portions. The decor is to a high standard and it is worth a visit to see what they have done with the place. On the first visit the service was quick and friendly. The second visit was just as friendly if a tad slower with taking the order. Once the order was taken the food was served in good time. I think you just have to try it for yourself rather than going too much on word of mouth. We've booked for dinner.
I was fortunate enough to be invited by friends to dine on Saturday evening. We were made very welcome and had the most delightful waiter named Harry who looked after us really well, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very well presented unfortunately as so often happens we found the vegetarians options rather limited which was a great pity as we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The entertainment was most enjoyable and we will certainly visit again.
Very nice place to go for a night out, extensive cocktail menu, (all the ones we tried were amazing), very friendly, helpful staff, we will definitely be going back. 2nd experience not so good went in with a few friends for cocktails the place was empty but they said they could not fit us in! Glad it has now closed. Not surprising really!!
Amazing restaurant! Not the cheapest, but well worth the extra for live jazz; great food and beautiful interior. We've have around 10 times and would highly recommend for a great night.
Ok so apart from the rather assertive reminder call.. Your table is 7pm this is your allocated time. Everything else is perfect. Fantastic food and great service
Tend to agree with the reviews the decor is good. It is the food that lets this venue down. Went for an evening meal with a friend. My starters was okay my friend ordered the duck. The duck was served cold! I tend to think of duck as being served hot. Unless in a wrap with hoisin sauce which only costs 3. The main course I ordered a burger and it was dry and not at all enjoyable. Would not recommend the burger at all. When the plates were cleared I did inform the waiter that the burger was dry. I only ate half of it so he could see it was overcooked. The waiter simply said that he would tell the chef. Didn't want to 'risk' a dessert.
