I've had 2 root canals from Dr. McLachlan in a month. After getting over my nervousness, I found them to be quick and pain free. She is amazing! I almost fell asleep today on my second one!

Probably the shortest, easiest and pain-free trip to a dentist I have ever made. I required a root canal for a previously fixed tooth from my previous general dentist. After changing dentist, I was referred to Dr McLachlan for my root canal. I was immediately looked over and prepared by her office from the referral to the day after the root canal. I was placed on antibiotics because I had a tremendous amount of swelling in my jaw and given instructions on what to do until my root canal could be done. Once I got to the office, I was greeted by the friendly staff, and never felt uncomfortable once. Quick X-Rays were taken, and once Dr McLachlan came in, she reassured me with everything she was planning to do, and her professional thoughts on how bad the tooth was. Twenty minutes later after performing (and explaining everything during) the root canal, I was done! It was the shortest and easiest root canal ever! I couldn't believe it. She even went the extra step, helping reduce the swelling around my tooth/cheek area afterwards and called me the next day to check on my status. Overall, just an amazing place and experience. Would recommend highly without any questions.

Been having pain in a tooth for 5 months that had been crowned by another dentist. Dr McLachlin had done the root canal on the same tooth. I decided to make the appt with her in hopes she could figure out what was wrong. It was the crown and she fix it ! with in a minute she could see the problem and handle it ! no pain ! DONE ! Her knowledge and expertise is beyond measure!

Like most people, I've heard root canal horror stories my whole life. So when my dentist told me I needed a root canal, I figured it was a death sentence. Fortunately, Dr. McLachlan was great. She was extremely friendly. She dispelled the myths about root canals being the worst thing a person could endure. The procedure was a lot faster than I thought it would be. And I left having a different opinion about root canals. Dr. McLachlan has restored my confidence in going to the dentist/endodontist.

I was referred to Dr McLachlan by my primary dentist ,Dr G Matin, for a root canal on a front tooth("bubble' on gum line) that had an existing veneer only 5 years old.. With the costs of veneers, I really wanted to save the tooth. About 20 years ago ,I had a root canal and the experience was horrible, very painful, required several visits to complete, my mouth propped open for greater than an hour each time. So I was really dreading the procedure again. I hadn't taken into account that technology has changed alot, but Dr McLachlan and staff put me at ease at the consultation. She told me the procedure would take 30 minutes and would be painless. She described followup. I scheduled out a few weeks, as I had an out-of-town trip. Dr. gave me her personal cell #, some antibiotics and pain medication if the tooth worsened. I had a great trip, no problems at all, came back to my appt. The procedure was all she said it would be...minimal local anesthesia, lasted 30min. and was painless during and after the procedure. The Dr and her staff contacted me to see how I was doing several times after.. I returned to my own dentist for the filling within 2 weeks. I have had no issues at all and now 3-6 mo.later, xrays show no infection process, "bubble" has resolved and tooth/veneer saved. I highly recommend Dr McLachlan for the procedure...outstanding service...even if you live a little ways away from Encintas, it is worth the drive for an excellent endodontist.
