Don’t bother with the big box stores. This is the place for your rock and stone needs. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the guys in the yard are helpful and courteous. Lots of tools as well. Prices seem fair enough.
This is a great place to do business. They service both contractors and homeowners. In my experience most businesses that serve both tend to favor the contractor and ignore the homeowner. Not RCP. As a homeowner purchasing a bunch of boulders for my landscaping last week I can tell you I received excellent service. I worked with four different staff members and each one was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about their products and their job. When I need landscaping materials RCP will be my first choice.
I've purchased brick and dirt from RCP, always very helpful. They also helped me find a contractor to build my fireplace which I don't believe is a service they provide but they did it because they wanted to help me out. Can't beat that.
