Dr. Savage is the most fantastic doctor I have ever had contact with. My husband has COPD and was told by other Pulmonary specialists that there was nothing they could do. Dr. Savage was compassionate and caring, telling my husband he would do everything to help maintain the COPD symptoms. He has kept his word and we both just love him. He always has a twinkle in his eyes and a wonderful sense of humor. Loves dogs too! He cares very much about his patients.

Dr Savage is a fantastic physician who is kind, caring & really listens to his patients. Most of all, he is extremely knowledgeable about the heart & lungs specifically and medicine in general. All over a great man!!

Dr. Savage impressed me the very first time I met him. All I had to do was look into his eyes. He and I shared a somewhat remarkable healing experience a few years ago. U see, I was hospitalized at Scripps Encinitas a few summers ago with apparently a VERY LARGE pneumonia in my right lung. The hospitalist doc released me the very next day after I responded so quickly to the two high powered antibiotics she had chosen. So ...... I was referred to Dr Savage for follow up. I needed to go downstairs and get an X-ray first. No problem. (Bare with me for a few more sentences. Here it is where it gets good.) Dr Savage was leaning over my X-ray for the longest time. You see I had been told that I was going to need to be patient because resolving pneumonia takes a long time. Finally he lifted his beautiful white haired head and just looked at me. “it’s gone.” I said, “Huh?” Then I said, “I think I saw it!” He said, “silly, that was the top of your HEART!”
