My family and I had a great experience with Colleen during the year that she taught our daughter. She has a genuine, open, and bright spirit about her that made us feel comfortable from the start. Being a child development major, I appreciated her views on play-based learning. She teaches using the Reggio Emilia Approach, and I feel like this style of teaching is the best for preschool age children. She fosters the natural curiosity and inquisitive nature of children to further develop their abilities across all domains of development. Her classroom environment was so organic and inviting, with lots of wooden, child-size furniture and toys. I felt like my daughter was engaged, encouraged and supported during the time she spent with Colleen. We were devastated when we found out she was moving across the country. San Diego has certainly gained an inspiring teacher. We wish her all the best!

Colleen, the lead teacher is beyond amazing. She was my child's lead teacher/care giver for over two years. She sent daily pictures and write-ups of their day so I felt as if I was there. During that time, my daughter grew into such an inquisitive and insightful little girl and was very advanced for her age. I'd like to say it was from my stellar parenting, but I know it was due in large part to Ms. Colleen. Her Reggio method of teaching, which is tailored to the child's interests and taught through play, is a perfect learning environment for young minds. I was so happy to hear she opened her own school once moving to the Encinitas area.
