Another spot on the list shut down due to covid. But you can book private tours in advance. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option for us so we strolled the grounds with their self tour pamphlet. Very interesting place.

I didn't go in I just shot some photos around the beautiful campus
We actually stopped by to donate (i.e. bring home) a spinning wheel made in the 1850's at the Enfield Shaker village. The historian gave us a tour and we had a chance to hear how the Enfield community differed from the Canterbury, NH community that we are more familiar with. Good to get another perspective.
The garden is magnificent. The museum staff are knowledgeable and rich with information to share. If time, hike in the hills and see the dam and culverts built 150 plus years ago. Mascoma lake is also great for a quick swim. It's all possible right in this one spot.
Fantastic tour. Well worth the visit. Make reservations and pay at website.
