Very very helpful and friendly staff. In a lot of cases the prices are comparable with Amazon's but you also get advice and a chance to look at the real thing. Also the neighbours don't give you that look when they've taken in another delivery of an online purchase. I'm often ranting about the death of retail but I think Maplin should and will survive.
Ok place to get those bits of tech you can find on the high street but quite expensive for somethings you can buy on line much cheaper but still good for emergency
Good shop for electrical items at a good price.

What's not to like about Maplins? Good staff, lots of stock and it's always well presented.
