Definitely not on expected level. It is so overrated. It was great if you only know for hotels of 3* and see that pool for the first time. Yes, pool was great- amazing view and that’s it, even that one was too cold when weather was (too) cold outside... we had very noisy first night- front desk gave us some weak explanation like wind outside (maybe if we are in motel next to the highway where door can’t be closed properly?!)... it was most likely service room above us or something like that... At second, room service was bringing us at first wrong order, then after 2 hours again something what someone else order “sorry for mistake and disturbing you”, then again the day after too long waitings in restaurant for breakfast - corona situation- they bring you some bread and jam, cheese , ham- in case you don’t fancy eating that- wait about half an hour that they come again to you asking if you want anything else... great for vacation, if you are ready to be under their agenda and expecting seeing yourself in some cheap hotel... this is great only if you are don’t know for better... we had our great time but hotel is huge disappointment and definitely not worth third of its price.
WOW I loved this place! Even getting there on the narrow mountain road was exciting. As you get there it may not look that impressive. There is some parking available. You can tell they have modernized the hotel as inside it looks very modern and chic. The service is really no short of 5 stars, so friendly, makes you feel so good. We had the lake view with terrace though I hardly used the terrace but if the pool area is busy they you can lounge in your terrace. The views OMG. No Pictures and words can describe it. Even when it rains feels like paradise. Always the 2 m rule was respected and currently not allowing day spa customers so we had a lot of space for ourselves since we went mid week. If you want to experience this place without the crowds come now!
A beautiful and cosy place in a gorgeous setting! The boutique hotel looks nice and comfy, their terrace has a breath taking view and the swimming pool...the swimming pool overlooks lake Luzern and the mountains. You could literally stay in the pool for hours just watching the view, the sunset and relaxing with a nice drink by your side. Villa Honegg says pampering and relaxation like few places do.
Absolutely amazing. The staff, the view, the hotel. Can't wait to be back.
