I travel the whole country driving truck. I meet all kinds of people, but I always in enjoy texas. I am always treated so kindly. This place though, showed a level of compassion that is just beyond anything I've ever seen. Texas is shut down. Huge snow storm, and now a huge ice storm. These people still brought me food to my truck down the road. My heart is full from the consideration that was shown today. Plus the food is really tasty, and a really good price!!!!!

Stopped in for lunch at this highly decorated family restaurant. It may be a favorite local stop, noticing from the customers. Service was friendly and food was prepped and delivered to our table in a timely manner.Chicken Fried Steak was the lunch special and when asked, hand battered or lunch special. I should have opted for the hand battered. Daily chicken fried steak is a frozen patty and the mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes. Dr. Pepper is served from a can with a cup of ice. Bill to pay was fairly cheap. If traveling pass this up and try a different restaurant. If your wanting to eat and chat with the locals, then this is the place.
I love the atmosphere here feel like home. Love their food especially there chicken fried steak. The owners and staff are very friendly. They treat you like family.
