In response to Hellen VC's negative comments. I am manager here at Oak Timbers for the past 1 1/2 years and we are a fair housing community. We have all races living here and everyone seems quite comfortable and happy. We are NOT a white community only! I remember her phone call inquiring about our complex. She called during one of our events here in the clubhouse and I had a hard time understanding and hearing her over the conversation and laughter in the background. We are a Senior Living Community for ages 55. No, I do not speak Spanish however, I do NOT discriminate against anyone who qualifies to live here. Right now we are completely full and have no notices for move outs so I think everyone living here is quite happy!

I Love living here it is so clean & well kept. Darlene & Ruben take pride in their work & they care about all of us who live here.I think me being able to live here was a GOD thing. So I consider the staff here as GOD'S TEAM. They are available if needed 24/7 and that is so comforting to know. Oak Timbers is really a Special Place. I should know I came from the city... HAPPY TENANT TINA

Oak Timbers Apartments is super peaceful and very safe. My one bedroom apartment has plenty of room and good kitchen appliances. I never hear anything from my neighbors. I have lived in apartments where I would hear the neighbors above me making noise at all hours. But this is one story so there are none above me. I stay up late and wake up late yet never hear any noise from those on my sides. All the units are one story and that is useful for seniors that use walkers and wheelchairs. The grounds are maintained well and the maintenance man is diligently working throughout the week to take care of the needs of the units and making the vacancies ready for the next residents. I have lived where the maintenance people were slow and sloppy in their work, but not here. I have told everyone that has asked that I love to live in this apartment. Partly it is because I like the friendly people in this small town of Ennis. This is very different from Dallas. And partly I love living here because the apartment manager is so diligent in her duties. I have said that she has a heart as big as Texas. She has been gracious and patient with residents due to her great big heart. Some have taken advantage of her kindness. Then she has needed to enforce the rules. That made them mad. But when a person pays their rent on time and keeps to the terms of the lease there is no trouble from the manager. If you are seeking a wonderful residence for yourself, a relative, or friend, then I highly recommend that you call to make an appointment to see this place soon.

To whom it may concern I have lived here at Oak Timbers Apartments for going 9 years now. I enjoy it here because it is quite. During the spring and fall I like to open my windows to let the fresh air in. Oak Timbers is like any other apartment they do have some rules that must be kept. They have games and Potluck dinners every month where you can meet and greet with the other people that live here. There are some people that live here that will help with things you may need. As I said I have lived here for 9 years and hope to be here for a long time to come.

Prior management was great, the current management has run off many long time residents so they can increase rent and get in a younger clientele. The manger routinely harasses residents who are elderly and need may need assistance without provocation. You can easily see with all the recent openings how they have kicked out all the long time residents, many on fixed incomes. The grounds are not kept and sidewalks are unsafe for disabled residents with mud on the sidewalks and parking lots where they might fall or have to push a wheelchair thru. Do yourself a favor and find a complex with conscience and management appreciate its tenants.
