The pellets wouldn't burn in my stove, I suspect that they were left out in the rain. Eventually a Customer Support ticket was raised (as a response to this negative review) I am really upset with the outcome of the customer support ticket from Balcas. They admitted no liability and offered no compensation insisting that there batch was tested and met their quality standards. I now have 1/2 tons of Balcas Pellets that will not burn in my brand new pellet stove! Every other pellet brand (Laois Pellets, Staffort Pellets, Energy Pellets) burned with out any issue I do not know why they would treat a new customer like this. I have done nothing wrong but have been unfairly treated by Balcas Energy

Brites are busy spouting about customer service being important to them then one of their delivery drivers damages my gate and pillar then drives off without admitting hitting my gate. I contact brites and send them photographs of damage and request that a manager call me back. Never got a return call so I try multiple times only to be fobbed off each time I call. I gave them ample opportunities to resolve the matter but they have failed. I will happily update this post if they decide to resolve this issue in a reasonable manner.
Do not use this company. If I could give them a lower rating I would. We used them for the first time in December - they were cheaper than any one else BUT there is a reason. The pellets they supplied have almost caused a serious fire. Our boiler is so contaminated with tar that we are having to have it completely stripped and serviced to remove the debris. We are in the process of analysing the contents of the pellets to determine what is in them other than wood. Their driver damaged our electric gates which have cost 540 to repair. They have dismissed this cost and are offering 100 credit - as if we would ever use them again!? They have sent dismissive, patronising emails regarding the damage and are refusing to pay - I am proceeding through small claims and will get the cost of the repair refunded. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT WILL CAUSE NOTHING BUT AGGRAVATION
I ordered 6t of bulk pellets on Monday, 1st Feb. On Friday, 5th Feb Balcas is not able or willing to tell me when they are actually going to deliver. They tell me it has not been scheduled yet and it is a complex process. Apparently they have not yet discovered the existence of computers and scheduling software. In todays world it is unacceptable that 5 days after accepting an order and taking my money upfront they cannot even tell me when they are going to deliver! We are shortly going to run out of pelllets and have no other way of heating and keeping elderly relatives warm. We have never experienced such poor service from other bulk suppliers in the country. So if you like to have your money taken upfront with no idea of when they will actually deliver do use Balcas. Other suppliers in our experience deliver within days. It is a shame as our first 6t load of pellets actually performed very well in our Aukofen biomass boiler. So pay your money and take your chances with delivery. Unless, ofcourse, you do not mind taking a risk of heaving no heating in the depths of winter.
I live in a Rural Scottish area and placed a order for 2 *750k bagged pellets delivered today by AM Brilliant service helpful driver. only 2bags one on each pallet damaged but had not lost much content burning Goodthem now usual Quality have used before. Ok bit more expensive due to 750k rather than Tonne. Felt that Tonne was dangerous for delivery driver. All together first class service.
