It is a lovely place to visit with lots of water sports that you can try or just watch others doing it. There are walks, picnic areas, museum at the castle and toilets. At the caravan park there is a play park, shop, toilets, places for caravans and tents. Very disappointed as there were very few bins to be seen. Overall a place place for families etc.

Back again and although the weather this year was wet and cold, i just love this place for camping. June is quieter. Shower block is clean and tidy always, well anytime i have been. Great little cafe in the courtyard. Took our bikes this time, the trails are amazing. The birds wow!! i cant emphasise enough the important work they do here for nature. (If you see anyone with their dog off a lead, a very very small minority...remind them to care for their animal and others) I totally recommend Castle Archdale and will go back again.

Lovely park for walks for family's and to bring the dogs, will have to go back in the summer when the shop and all is open to avail of all the facility's as I was there in February when it's a bit quieter.

For being such a little museum, they pack a lot in! The section upstairs about the areas war history was well laid out and very informative.
