Amazing man made trail up the mountain that finishes with spectacular views of the whole valley. Built to protect the natural bog this is definitely something to add to the bucketlist! It's quite a long walk and the steps up at the end are certainly not for the faint hearted but definitely worth the view. Do not be fooled like us and park in the first car park on the road in. There's plenty of parking in the gate itself. Sensible non slip shoes and a proper raincoat are essential as the weather very changeable. We went up in the sun and got soaked by the first hour. If you plan on reaching the top it's not a place for small kids or dogs. Take your time with the stairs and you will get to the top eventually. The sense of achievement on the walk down along with the views is life changing. Good luck!

Lovely scenery. Great hiking trai. Tough at times near the top but so worth it. Highly recommended

Tough climb as you don't realise how steep you're climbing., but the views at the top are stunning. If Heaven is like the views I've seen well ill be just delighted to go when I'm called.

The ascent is hard, both on the gravelly path and on the boardwalk/stairs section. It is a disappointment that having gone to the trouble of construction, there was no thought to provide even one seat on the small, fenced platform at the top. Neither is there a telescope or even a sign indicating what can be seen from that vantage point. There were a lot of people in a small space and uncomfortable, with social distancing impossible. Some people climbed over the surrounding barrier and sat on rocks farther up, especially those who had brought food or drink. There are no toilets anywhere and not even any bushes to go behind, so be warned. There is potential for some intelligent and ecologically sound improvements at the summit. The view is great but without phone coverage (understandable}, my own ignorance prevented me from recognising visible physical features and landmarks. Disappointed after such effort. The whole trek took about four hours. There is a 6 or 5 for parking and it is worthwhile insisting that you park in the point nearest to the boardwalk as the first parking spaces you meet are considerably farther away from the walk.

Fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Gets busy after 11am and parts of the stairs are narrow so social distancing is difficult.

Great walk, reasonable incline throughout. Great views if you can get the weather to see.

Brilliant walk. Great for the kids. Well maintained and zero litter. Views from the top are spectacular. Dog owners: please do as you are asked and leave the dog at home.
