Gisela is a marketing executive with many years'​ experience in global marketing positions. Nick is an entrepreneur, experienced in all aspects of the supply chain, and also a marketer by qualification. Together they juggle the creative and practical aspects of handbag design, and they have a lot of fun while doing it. Why we developed the range? Isla Rule designs bags and accessories shaped around woman and their busy world. Developed by corporate executive and creative head, Gisela, Isla Rule is a brand for woman by woman. Isla Rule design timeless, well proportioned, wearable handbags that become indispensable to woman who lead 3D lives, with always something to do, somewhere to go, and someone to run to. Isla Rule has been designed for woman, who just like Gisela, are wives, mums, executives, friends, daughters and artists. Isla Rule is for woman who keep their life in their handbags, and who can’t live without them. Speaking about her designs, Gisela says: “Many ideas are born of sheer frustration! My job requires a lot of international and local travel. I searched high and low for bags that would suit my ‘on the go’ career, but constantly found myself either juggling several bags to cart around my personal stuff as well as my technology (laptop, tablet, Kindle and phone), or worse, when I tried to combine it all into one bag, I would constantly be fishing around in the ‘black hole’ to find what I was looking for. After finding an excellent bespoke leather manufacturer, Isla Rule finally became a reality, with the Hannah, the statement bag from the collection featuring a secret double-compartment design, and the Liza being a perfect tablet handbag. The Mae and Elle bags are perfect boardroom style designs. Isla Rule is what women have been missing all along: great bags for great woman who want to be organised without compromising style and design.
