Excellent service and location for Sunday afternoon lunch on a sunny day. All tables suitably distanced and the staff were very good at reminding people (including myself) to remain at a sensible distance from each other and not to generally mingle - all done in a nice way and not heavy handed. You can't order a drink without a table number to ensure everyone is enjoying themselves sensibly. Drink service to the outdoor seating areas was good - you order and pay at a counter. Food is of a good quality and well presented, there was not a very long wait even during a busy Sunday afternoon. Overall a very pleasant experience. There is an on-site car park.

Popped in for a drink last week sat outside was really well looked after by the staff very friendly and lovely to hear theses girls taking a levels locally and doing well in such testing times... Unfortunately over heard whom I can only imagine is the manager young woman in glasses being not so friendly shame as pub has a great atmosphere. Won’t be put off but note to the manageress good staff are hard to find!

Had a very pleasant lunch here. There was plenty of choice on the menu, the food was well presented and very tasty. The staff were very pleasant and efficient and flagged up changes to the menu before we ordered. The atmosphere was relaxed and the Covid safety measures were good. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Good food and friendly service. They allow dogs in the bar area only. Had the lamb shank, which was very good.

We had a great experience here last night, was easy to book online and a smooth arrival process for largish party (8 with kids) - Covid measures have been accommodated slickly, was reassuring and very clean! Service was prompt and friendly, food fresh and delicious, and all very kid-friendly. We took advantage of 3 courses because of the Eat-out-to-help-out deal so of course it was amazing value, but honestly was such a good experience that the menu full prices seem very fair regardless - would definitely recommend.

Best pub food I have ever had!!! We went for a walk in the forest and then went for a veggie nut roast, but my expectations are never too high regarding sunday roasts at pubs, and it was hands down best roast i've ever had (apart from my aunts roast) . Epic Yorkshire pudding! Really helpful and lovely staff too. Recommended

Quite surprised how good reviews are for this pub! Staff were nice enough but food poor. Very disappointed as we have recently moved to the village about a year ago & this is our 3rd visit. First visit I ordered a salad which was awful, not sure how the chef thought it was acceptable to serve this as a meal & expect someone to pay for it! But the manager was great & never charged us. Second visit not bad nothing special & today the meal of burger & chips was below par, burger was dry & Luke warm & was served with about 10 chips, ok if your on a diet, unfortunately for us this made our mind up & will be the last time we eat here, drink yes but no food for us, shame as it’s on our doorstep.
