Went for the first time and didn't know that you should turn right from the car park into the country park and turned left instead to find not very much. So turn right after you've parked and the walk is beautiful. Lots of turn offs so you have choice of where you go. Lovely views and very peaceful. Toilets at the entrance. You will come across a farm too on your journey.

A lovely place on a quiet day... Can get busy on sunny weekends. Beware of the cyclists, some go far too fast. Most paths are gravelled bridleways so great for kids, prams and wheelchair access. There are horses, dogs, wild animals (deer, badgers, foxes, squirrels etc.), children and people using these paths, this makes the fast cyclists more frustrating, they should also use a bell!

The wonderful Horton Country Park 1½ miles west of Epsom, is easy to get to if you are driving with plenty of parking spaces. It is a wonderful place to visit as it has various paths around the grounds and is stunningly beautiful with a little sunshine. Horton Park makes for a great walk in the cooler of weathers too however, you will need to wrap up warm. You can choose what paths you take and set yourself a walking mileage plan. This place is great for walkers and cyclists and a wonderful spot for families. There is plenty of space to find a very quiet area for your picnic. The seasons have so much to offer with changing views as the year progresses. We have been going for years and love every visit. We do cheat and take coffee and snacks, great for picnics. Barbecue stands can be hired, not sure on price as we have always takes our own picnic. I am always armed with my camera and always come back with some wonderful pictures, this time we saw the end of the Bluebells season, spotting white bells too lol. Keep your eyes peeled for the wildlife as it is all over and you have to be alert to capture animal antics.

A lovely park for everyone. There are open BBQ that you can hire out from Epsom and Ewell Council. They have a field for picnics which is gated so perfect for small kids to stay safe. And some beautiful walks around the park.
