This cafe would be great however, the one thing that's it down is staffing. The staff are very nice however, it seems that sainsburys don't put enough staff on to run the cafe. The till person has to also do the coffee and also take your receipt to the kitchen in order to put your order through. Sainsburys never to seem to have more than one person on the front counter area. If sainsburys added more staff then the cafe would be great. The food is good value.

Avoid this at all costs. Very very unhygienic. Ordered a big breakfast but had to eat with my hands (used the toast to scoop the beans) because the cutlery was that filthy. It makes you question how clean the cooking area is if even the basics like the table is unclean. On top of getting our order wrong a few times after the omelette we had ordered was not available (they order these externally and don't make them). Awful experience
Good cup of coffee, also hot chocolate, daughte has gluten intolerance but we found a suitable snack, so all family catered for. Nice finish to our shop.
Its the 4th time we are here. Everytime we tell each other lets just try again. But no. We will not be coming back. Raw eggs. Cold food. Undercooked mushrooms. Definitely not what you would expect from here.
Big space, bright and airy. Staff pleasant and service efficient. So, a comfortable place to relax and reward yourself after doing the shopping. Coffee (large skinny cappuccino) was very weak and milky - I had to go back and get another shot of coffee. It still didn't taste great - either the beans were old or poor quality. Bacon and eggs was very greasy. Cheap price but I wouldn't call it value as the quality of the food wasn't good. Of course that's subjective & you might live it - when it's only 6 for breakfast, it's worth the risk!
We were told that cooked food was unavailable during our visit, except for paninis and toasted sandwiches, so we ordered one of each. One arrived after about 10 minutes, the other, five minutes later. No apology or explanation from staff member who clearly wanted to be anywhere other than this cafe. I had to agree. Food wasn't actively unpleasant but was exceptionally bland. Avoid
The food is good here and the menu is affordable. You're looking at around 15-18 for a lunch for a family of four. One annoyance is that if you want to substitute a baguette for a gluten free version (for example) they won't pop down to the shop floor and get one. You're offered a roll instead.
It's a nice open space but rather varied experiences on the food front. I recently had a really nice hunters chicken with chips straight out of the frier. I've also had a breakfast where the hash brown was so overcooked there was no trace of potato left. The menu is oddly lacking in burgers and it would be nice to see an adult chicken nuggets option. Either way when they do it well it's a pleasant experience in a wide open space with very friendly staff.
