Nothing but good things to say about the Bonsai Centre after my workshop. We started the workshop with Clive asking exactly what I wanted to get out of it and how he could be helpful. Having discussed this, we spent 20 mins with me asking a few questions about looking after a tree I already had and just getting some general advice (with some really interesting history) on Bonsai. We then spent a bit of time trimming and checking the health of my current tree, as well as discussing how to shape it going forward. For the second half of the workshop, we picked out some raw material (Juniper) and spent about an hour or so turning it from raw material into a lovely little Bonsai tree. I picked up loads of really helpful tips during this time and my understanding of designing and maintaining a tree has moved forward tremendously, learning how to shape, wire, create Jin and ensure my tree progresses as I want to. The walk around their garden and seeing the wide variety of amazing trees they have was an added bonus to a really great afternoon. Lastly, I was also told to call anytime I had any questions about my trees, whether they be bought from the Bonsai Centre or were trees I already owned. Clive was very patient and understanding with a relatively newcomer to Bonsai which made for a really educational and relaxing afternoon. I really cannot recommend it enough. I'll be back soon!

Clive is an excellent host. I learned a bunch about Bonsai in the hour and a half I was there and came away with some terrific starter trees to turn into great bonsai in the future. Highly recommend. He’s got some excellent established trees too at good prices. A real feast for the eyes. Keep it up Clive and team
