This is a really nice campsite, not too far from Köln and very reasonably priced considering it's location. The beach is well maintained and the lake is lovely, perfect for children. The main showers and toilets are modern and clean but you have to pay for the showers (with a prepaid token for 1 euro) and for hot water too. The bar/bistro over looks the lake a d is good too and reasonably priced. The owner would appear to have gone to the \Basil Fawlty school of customer relations\ but you can always play a game of trying to make her smile, I managed one, boarding on a laugh. There's no on-site shop, so stock up first.

Receptionist only speaks German which wasn't very inviting the on the first day. Although after speaking some words of German she was nice. The toilets and showers were pretty good and the beach was also nice. Also even for tents there was electricity available with multiple types of sockets which was a great plus!

Worst staff... never ever go here...

The owner is rude and unhelpful, and has clearly not understood the concept of hospitality. Never felt this unwelcome at a camping before. Sanitary facilities are new, but all warm water has to be paid for, there is no hand soap, and toilet paper has to be taken at the entrance to the building.
