Agreed that capsicum need not be added to Karahi, from then on all was well....decent Lamb and Vegetable Curry.

Visited on 21st February 2018. Arrived and received a friendly greeting by the waitor. He was very cheerful. Nice table set up and not squeezed in with other tables like some places. Ordered the Onion Bhajis and the Chicken Speciality of theres. Food served on time with no delays, food was great specially the onion Bhajis. The curry was not spicy enough for me, but I didn't ask for extra spice so that's my fault. Also got the gulab jaman as desert and that was great room. Well recommended. I asked about halal meat, and they advised the chicken is halal.
Very good indian place. We ate the Naan bread with Yellow Dal and also the black dal and for curry we got the mix veg with was served with a slice of pineapple. The quantity of rice that came with it was fairly large for two people but the portion sizes of the dals and curry were more appropriate for one person than for sharing. Service was good, it was pretty much the owner who was an all-in-one but he managed it well. Good place in Erlangen overall.
Ignore the German review that is 3 years old. I ate there a couple of days ago (January 17, 2013). I ordered a lamb curry (one of the specialties of the house), samosas and a roti. Everything tasted excellent. I was promptly served and enjoyed very much the decor of the restaurant. I know my curries and frequently make Indian food at home (I am a Brit!), the food here was very good. Compared to Denmark the prices are very reasonable too. I can highly recommend House of India and will probably eat there again next time I visit Erlangen.
