You have to have an appointment to go to the Erin office. Schedule it online and make sure you have your ID number when you go. We were in and out fast with the appointment and they were really nice and helpful to my first time driver. Small office but I'd go here every time.

I'm starting to think that nobody ever cancels appointments they no longer need here. Be considerate to others and take 1 minute to cancel your unnecessary appointments! Otherwise, the tall guy at the door will use it as an excuse to take another coffee break instead of taking walk-ins. Literally any other DMV you go to will take walk-ins, as long as they aren't at capacity, except this one. If you file a complaint, they'll just tell you every location gets to make their own rules. Your tax dollars hard at work not helping you unless you can wait 2 months for an appointment for a simple test. Oh, and they absolutely won't answer the phone no matter when you call. It's like they completely forgot who funds their paychecks here.

The older caucasion lady would laugh occasionally and she answered questions as to why the wait but she had an attitude. The older African American man was agitated and seemed frustrated to be at work after 5. They will not allow you on the computer after 430 even if you have an appointment

My husband and I are very new to North Carolina- being so- each state of our great Union handles procedures a bit differently. Now with this virus- good grief! Due to these restrictions we needed to wait just shy of 2 months to update our licenses, re- tag our two vehicles. Everyone was very helpful. We owe the gentleman whom receives the appointments a huge gratitude. He went out of his way assisting my husband in obtaining his license. We didn't notice a glitch in his name pertaining to insurance vs drivers license. My husband is a \ 3rd\ in his family line. I'm hoping this review will assist others. Make sure your name spelling is absolute to avoid having to go back and forth as this can delay your updating your information
