I've very much enjoyed my relationship with my current independent pharmacist in San Marcos. However, after moving to Escondido it's not as convenient. So after reading a lot of positive reviews I stopped Escondido Pharmacy today. The door was open but there was a steel gate closed and locked across the front door. I peered in and didn't see anyone inside but the lights were on the back door appeared to be in a similar. I rather timidly said, \anyone home\ and a female face popped up from behind a counter. Someone said, just a minute. As an older man put a mask and approached the door I asked if they were open. He proceeded to ask me what I needed. I was a bit taken aback. I thought the gallon size ziploc of prescription containers would be a clue to why I was there but maybe not. I explained, through the steel grate, that I had recently moved and changed insurance and wanted to move my scrips to a new pharmacy. He sort of reached for the bag I stepped back. It just felt weird dealing with something like this through a steel grate. I asked again if they were open, if not I'd be happy to come back when they were and he said they were open but they didn't allow customers in the store. Understandable but honestly, for something like, I don't want pass things through what is basically a prison door. Not the way I want my medical information handled. So thanked him for his time and left. Now I'm looking for another independent pharmacist in Escondido. One that does't conduct business through a steel grate that protects them from people but not viruses.

This is the best pharmacy I've ever been to, and the people who work here are the kindest and most caring people! They are very fast with filling or refilling medications and they also offer delivery for those in the area who cant come into the store and they have almost any over the counter medications there and equipment for a very reasonable price. My whole family and friends come here and we are very blessed to have found a pharmacy like this :)

The cashier and the pharmacist were extremely helpful and very personable. Prices are more affordable than a lot of the big named stores.
