Very shady company. Do not do business with this company. We rented a car with them this summer via their online portal just to be charged for the online car rental and again for an in person car rental. Total double charge. We are still trying to fight the extra charges, when we contested the double charge they used our credit card a third time!!! 2 months later with out our consent to charge us again. Company is non responsive, extremely poor costumer service with very limited English. Stay away!!!

Be CAREFUL... When they say Full Coverage it's FALSE. The experience we had was disgusting.. our car was hit while parked and we called Avec they sent a tow truck. They never sent a car to get us as we were left on the side of the road that the tow truck driver gave us a lift. No car was ever given we never got our deposit back reasoning was we had to file a police report. When we did file a police report they said it needed more detail . We said we have full coverage they said it only covers certain things. If you rent you must stay away from companies like this. HERTZ AVIS BUDJET ENTERPRISE will always be on your side.

BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We traveled from US to Istanbul and rented a car from Avec. They are a BIG FRAUD and SCAM!!!!! When we picked up the car it had a small damage on the back bumper. The guy took pictures of the car and mentioned the damage is registered in the car's record and we're not liable for it. They held a security deposit on our credit card in case any damages occurred and told us it will be refunded up to 7-10 business days after the car drop off. During the drop off, they assured us that they have checked the record of the car and we will be getting our deposit back - We had filled up the tank btw. Few days later, there was only a partial refund!!! They deducted 120 due to damages that we didn't cause. When we called they said the car was fine before and there's nothing in the record!!!!! This is straight up FRAUD!!!! This was a BIG lesson for me not to go with unknown companies like Avec and stick to the companies like Enterprise which I know and always happy with!

I hired a Peugeot 301 from the new airport in Istanbul and dropped off at sabiha airport. I based my rental choice on price and avec were the second cheapest. The cheapest had bad reviews. Picking up the car was relatively easy after finding the avec booth at the airport. They didn't answer the phone so I needed to find it myself. The car was clean and well maintained. Dropping off the car was ok, the carpark was given to me at collection time and is a few kilometres from the airport. The agent was a little late but I left enough time for any issues. The agent dropped us off with our luggage to the airport. It took a few weeks to refund the 500tl deposit, which after deducting tolls was returned. Overall given the low price for my 7 day rental I am satisfied. I will most likely use avec again.

Don't ever rent a car from AVEC, they blocked 1,700TL on my crwdit card for car insurance and 1,400TL for 3 days before one and half months, they told me that 6 days will unblock the amount, after 9 days they withdraw the blocked amount!!!! I'm contacting them but no answer till now, i will keep updating you for any new info. **update: After that they returned back my money after 2 months! Will increase the rating from 1 to 3 stars as the car was perfect, but i will not rent a car again from them because of the delay of returning back my money.

Most useless service possible. When we arrived in Istanbul it took almost 1hr to get our rental car, due to poor organization and very little English spoken. I booked a rental car almost 4months prior, specifying a Hyundai i20, when arrived they said no i20 but there is a polo or a Renault Symbol. I told them I don’t want a sedan because easier to get around small roads with a hatchback, so they said the polo. When arriving at the cars which is 5km out of the airport, they have the Renault ready for me, and I tell the guy no this is not the car I requested, but once again this guy speaks no English at all. So I phone the office, and get them saying no they said there is no polo and Renault the only option. Finally I just take the car. When discussing with them where do I go when I drop off the vehicle at Antalya airport, they say you just drop off at the airport. When we arrive at Antalya Airport, there is no AVEC cars, so phone head office on the card received, and they say I must phone Antalya department and they can’t help, then had to wait 15min for someone to arrive and fetch the vehicle from us. Just don’t know why none of this is discussed when you pick up the car from Istanbul Airport. Terrible experience and service!!!!

Never rent a car from Avec car rental in Turkey because they will easily rip you off. They charged my credit card 750 Euros for a damage that their own driver caused after I’ve already returned the car and signed off the papers.

Picked our car up from Dalaman Airport ontime, which makes a change. Nice clean car that had only done a few thousand km's. Had no problem with it at all, nor with pick up or drop off. Will defo have a look at hiring from them next time.
