Citizens Advice Esher and District has been serving the Elmbridge community for more than 40 years. We are an independent charity and part of the Citizens Advice network across England and Wales. We provide free, confidential, impartial advice and we campaign on the big issues affecting people’s lives. Every year our team of over 40 dedicated advisers help around 3,000 people with over 12,000 problems. People come to us with all sorts of issues. They may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems. They may be facing a crisis, or just considering their options. Our service is open to all residents and workers in Elmbridge and our staff are trained to advise on virtually any issue including: • welfare rights • money and credit problems • employment • consumer rights • housing • neighbourhood disputes • education and healthcare • immigration and residency queries • human rights • family and personal issues. Our goal is to help our clients find a way forward, whatever problems they face. Citizens Advice Esher and District has a small paid team and over 40 volunteers working as either highly-trained advisers, support staff or trustees. The market rate for the hours these skilled volunteers donate each year is an incredible £415,000.
