Popped in for a browse while passing and found a nicely stocked specialist arboricultural supplier, everything Stihl and more. Plenty of staff to help in the shop plus tool service centre, again with dedicated staff happy to help with technical queries. I'll be looking for an excuse to pop in again.

My 3 experiences with Ernest Doe in Esher have all been good ones. On all 3 occasions various members of staff went out of their way to help me. So far I’ve purchased a Honda lawn mower and a Stihl chainsaw from the store. I most recently dealt with the service manager who assisted me after I damaged my brand new chain saw. He was more than happy to show me where I went wrong and then carried out the repair free of charge. He honestly couldn’t have done enough - excellent brand representation for Stihl and the likes. Thanks for everything guys and no doubt will see you soon. Update: Purchased a Stihl leaf blower today - Same great service and as usual they had a brand new machine which was fuelled and ready for action. Thanks guys!

When I called in for a Calor Gas bottle exchange I was greeted with cold and unwelcoming service. I concur with the other reviewer who speaks of being made to feel like a nuisance. When I asked a question about the exchange process the response I got was unhelpful and impatient, and I then didn't feel like pursuing my question further. When I offered to help carry the empty bottles through to the back I was virtually barked at (no help was wanted), and despite the numerous staff standing around, nobody thought to offer to help me carry the new bottles to my vehicle. The review is slightly redeemed by a fairly friendly woman who I spoke to on the phone prior to my visit. The service standards clearly vary here. Those who can't be bothered making the most of their job should think themselves lucky that they even have one when so many live with uncertainty just now. There will be plenty of better people who deserve to have your job!
