fantastic exsperiance. Orignally I thought the meat was over priced but worth every penny for the exceptional qaulity. The butchers knowledge was top notch knowing exactly how many days his steak was dry aging and which cow he got the cut from. 2X 51 day dry aged mature steak 400 grams inch and a half thick 32 quid. But this is the best steak I have ever bought. Gently seared each side in lurpack garlic butter fresh rosemary and tyne salt and pepper then flashed oven cooked and allowed to rest. Just wow melted In my mouth He insured there was no gristle and gave me the sirloin end which was amazing. I have found my cheat day! better than half the steak houses in the area. HIGHLY Reccomend. I will be trying the other items there appeared to be a huge selection of good cuts. thanks

Went in looking for a ham hock joint as i couldn't find it anywhere except pre-packaged and already cooked. Very helpful, friendly members of staff, who didn't mind me asking lots of questions about how to cook it etc. Very reasonable and the quality was amazing.

One of the best butchers for miles around as often will be found on a busy shopping day especially at Christmas. Staffed by butchers steeped in the knowledge of their trade you will find here high quality meats, well butchered to suit all tastes. I particularly enjoy their French Cut lamb cutlets and the Old English pork and herb sausages. 'Loverly grub' but the Game Larder's selection of beef, lamb and pork joints are equally good quality. And by the way, they always carry a good selection of in season game
