Beautiful stunning interiors in this traditional Indian restaurant set in the Taj Oberoi palace hotel. Espaphan offers high end Indian and fusion food including Thalis and 7 course set. menus. The service is out of this world and the beautiful setting has a backdrop of the wonderful gardens and live Indian Santoor music. We had the fusion menu and the food had too many strange flavours for us so I would recommend the Indian food only. Comfortable seating and tables that give plenty of space for privacy

We've order a variety of dishes as we were unsure of what we wanted. I'm from Malaysia and I think my take of northern Indian food might be different. I felt that the food was extremely salty and we did convey that over to the chef and he said that's the taste of some of the ingredients in it - therefore naturally salty. I might say the Chef is quite right as all of our other meals throughout India were equally salty

Didn't stay at the Oberoi as to be fair over priced at 800 a night but did dine and had a fabulous meal. Lovely atmosphere and dining experience all you would expect. Re the hotel yes its a good location and yes you see the Taj from the terrace but found the atmosphere similar to staying in a large Dubai Hotel which is usually disappointing but I hear great things from others who have stayed there
