Excellent food from seasonal products. I ate a Christmas Goose which was delicious. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and he made me and my company very welcome. The building is oldest in Borbeck and certainly gives a nice atmosphere to the restaurant. Restaurant is little bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but in my opinion it was worth it.

I ate here twice in October of 2016 and plan to visit multiple times this October(2017). Definitely one the best dining experiences I've had in my life. The host is friendly and fun. The food is exquisite as long as you like steak, it's very much find dining/comfort food experience. I cannot say enough kind words.

This is one of my favorite dining experiences anywhere in the world, much less Germany! Our host (though I forget his name) was one of the most genuine people I've ever met and has a beautiful skill at establishing rapport with his customers. The food was delicious and I felt that I was dining in the house of a longtime friend who took great care in her offerings.

Absolutely amazing time at this restaurant. I could not fault anything. Great location near public transport (30 seconds walk away) made it easy to enjoy the range of drinks on offer. I especially liked the caramel toffee liquer. The goats cheese, walnut and honey starter I had was delicious as the dressing was home made and like nothing i have tasted before. The tomoto soup was also very very good. The bison steak was cooked beautifully and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The dessert of panna cotta was also very good and it was not overly sweet. It was served with a mixed berry topping which complimented it perfectly. The interior of the restaurant is very quaint and traditional with rustic beams and traditional furniture. The menu is written on 2 blackboards which ensures the freshness of the food (which i could not fault). The service was lovely and friendly and the staff were very welcoming. It was also nice that the man who served us spoke excellent english and did not hesitate to explain some of the dishes. The price and value for money was excellent. We will definitely be coming back.
