I had a lunch there with a good colleague of mine. We ordered pizzas. Prior to ordering I asked for a confirmation that the pizza dough had no milk products such as milk, butter, etc. there. I also specifically asked not to cut my pizza. The reasoning behind it is that the cutter would have some bits of cheese from other pizzas and I would like to avoid cross contamination. I do not consume milk products, irrespective of the animal or presence of lactose. I also advised what toppings I wanted. Finally the pizza arrived… full of cheese! I actually forgot to specify that I wanted pizza without cheese. Cheese milk product. (Usually no vegan cheese found in restaurants here). I decided it would be unfair to put a blame on the restaurant for not deducing from my visible satisfaction that the pizza dough had no milk product that I do not consume milk products. I said, ok, this is my fault – “I should have also specified that I do not want cheese on my pizza either”. I got a new pizza after I rejected the cheesy one. To my surprise the restaurant didn’t charge me for the second pizza even though I did acknowledge that it was my fault and not theirs. I can only attribute it to a great customer service and readiness to take a hit (reasonable hit, mind you) so that the customer is happy. I appreciate the effort and attitude. Thank you. By the way, the pizza was very tasty as well!
