We came to this place with high expectations - nods to Michelin on the website and a decent write-up in our guidebook. In fact, it was our first choice to visit during our stay at Estepona. Sadly, we left very disappointed - only the moderate price and the fact that the fish was actually fresh save this from being a one star dismissal. The service was utterly devoid of any enthusiasm for the food and the “friendly” waiters mentioned in other reviews must have been taking a night off. We started with an insipid, watery salad. Two of us had fish, one of which seemed to come with gallbladder intact, but at least it was sourced locally. Less could be said of the steak which might have been sourced from one of Estepona’s many fine shoe shops. Round that off with a joyless 40 minute wait for the bill and we were left hoping that this isn’t the best Estepona has to offer. Sorry but we will not be returning customers.
