Nice trail heading up toward Mount Ypsilon and the Chapin Meadow area. Plenty of elk back there in the morning! The parking area has enough space for probably 10 cars or more along the road.

The Chapin Creek Trail is amazing. Parking is limited on Fall River Rd so arriving early is best. From this trail you can reach the summits of Chapin, Chiquita, and Ypsilon in a relatively short hike. I have been up Chapin twice and the view from there is majestic. Both times (early July and late August), I have seen bull elk very close to the trail—very cool to in the wild!

Crazy hike once it starts to get hilly. Also super hard to breathe the higher you get. Had to hike in 45 second bursts the last 800 feet up to Chiquita.

Increíble view from start to finish. The only bad thing is the beetle problem that has decimated the trees. But its a nice alpine hike with no huge elevation gains

Great access to Chapin, Chiquita, and Ypsilon. Start early to get good parking. Limited spots along the road near the trailhead. No bathrooms. Great views along the saddle between Chapin and Chiquita. If you can't climb any further, at least make it that far. Pack for anything! We got rain, sleet, and snow! Saw lots of goats and an elk!

To get to this you have to go through fall River road. It's a nice hike, be prepared for the altitude.

Sweet little trail and such a pleasant surprise when we arrived in the meadow at the bottom and watched an elk.
