There is a serious problem when your water bill is higher than your electric bill. Their customer service did not try to help when we have been customers for years and had a huge high water bill bc of a running toilet we didn’t know was running until we got a high bill. Thanks for caring about other people. My bill has been increased at least 3 times since I have been with you guys.

The new website sucks. Cant change the date on my cc to pay this outrageous bill to help build pumps by my house to alleviate flooding. Funny my street is more flooded than it's ever been.

I was on hold for 23 minutes and then a recording came on saying that is is now 4:30 and they are closed. My call was then dumped. No private business could survive doing that! Every reasonable business stops taking calls at their time of closing but still answers the calls on hold. Besides, a half hour on hold is a problem! After moving to this county from another Indiana County I was shocked to discover that renters in this county need not pay their waterworks bill. This county just illegally tags the property owner for the bill regardless of who signed for the service. This underhand practice has been struck down in court every time it is contested but the crooks in this county does it anyway because most every home owner doesn’t want to go through the long court battle. So, potential landlords beware! You will get nailed for your tenets bill if they don’t pay even if you never agree to pay their bill. Soon there will be more housing problems because landlords need to add a hundred bucks a month to rent prices to cover getting jacked by a crooked water department. Finally, the cost of water in this county has absolutely skyrocketed along with the level of service going downhill. Vanderburgh County has decided to not only spend money like a drunken sailor but, also ‘drain the swamp’ by putting in pumps and drains to keep property on the south and southeast sides dry when these houses were built in low areas that always flooded. Now homes bought for next to nothing because they are in areas that flood are being kept dry on the dime of every other customer forced to get water and sewer services from a water department that run by dolts throwing out hundreds of millions to contractors who know they need not be concerned to keep costs down. Vanderburgh customers are seeing hundred percent bill increases every few years.

Evansville water monopoly is a joke. my wife and i moved into our new house 1 week ago. I had two leaky toilets, so I turned off the water to those two toilets I called several times to figure out what else was going on with the different charges. the house we lived at before we would average 1k gallons per month using the same washer and the same number of people in the house showering and so on. I called and all they keep telling me was that you are using the amount the meter reads. and that the average person uses 3k gallons. even though at the old house (built in 1957) we were using max of 2k gallons with the same appliances and same number of people living there. they were not very helpful. and when you talk to them and ask if the meter was possibly reading it wrong all they would say nope its correct and of course machines and device are never wrong lol. I just find it weird we go from one house to another and all of a sudden we use double the water or triple? don't make since. I hate waiting on hold to talk to someone and when I finally get to talk to them all they can say they cant help me and the meter is correct. they realize we cant shop around to different companies and they take advantage of that. I have never had any problems before. when I check the online app at the hourr by hourr reads I see 50, 60 ,70, sometimes 90 or 100 gallans in one hour at times when were not even home or asleep. and all they can say is check for running toilets even though I told them the water is off to the toilets until I get the plumber to finally come out. so water shouldn't be filling up and \leaking\. like vectren, Evansville water is a monopoly. and take advantage of the fact we only have one choice of utilities... im not happy with any of this and how things are being handle. at least vectren offers energy audits to help find ways to cut cost...Evansville water is not helpful at ALL...
