I attended the farm shop today with my mother who has alzheimer's disease. While I was at the till paying I heard my name being hollard by a member of staff who wasn't letting my mother enter from outside as she wasn't wearing a face covering. I explained she was exempt and the member of staff waved her own sun flower lanyard advising my mother hasn't proved it. I stated that my mother does not need to prove it and she then turned her attention back towards my mother telling her she needs to put her hand over her mouth I'm disgusted with this treatment,, government legislation from gov.uk website states : Exemption cards If you have an age, health or disability reason for not wearing a face covering: you do not routinely need to show any written evidence of this you do not need show an exemption card This means that you do not need to seek advice or request a letter from a medical professional about your reason for not wearing a face covering.
